Citizens Park Playground, Church Street, Richmond
It's all about shade with the playground set among a clump of shady trees with a combination of soft surface and mulch as a base. In the corner is a tall tower with a big spiral tunnel slide reached by steps and then a series of small climbing walls inside.
Around the tower is a curved slide, rope net ladder, climbing wall and steps. Also colourful speak and listen flowers, standalone monkey bars, birds nest swing, gear panel, swing with harness, two standard swings and a ramp leads up to a maze panel, clanger to hit against pipes and balance logs to a platform with dual wave slides.
Three tables (with some shade), BBQs, water tap and seats. The playground is at a busy corner but there is a large area of protective fencing. Next to a dog off leash oval, outdoor gym and toilets near the pavilion.
