Chelsea Yacht Club
Chelsea Yacht Club is a self funded community club in the City of Kingston delivering water safety, education and recreation for life.
New members and volunteers are always welcome. You can choose to be a sailing, kayak /board / swimming member if you are going to get your feet wet, or a social member if kicking back watching the sunset is your thing.
For over 85 years Chelsea has been a leading 'off the beach' sailing club catering to dinghy and catamaran classes and now also supports local paddle boarders, kayakers, windsurfers and swimmers. All levels of ability are catered for, and the members are ready to assist the inexperienced. The Club offers boat and board storage options at both the foreshore Club building and at our indoor self boat storage and workshop facility "The Boat Hub" in Chelsea Heights.
We run an extensive program of Come and Try Sailing and Start Sailing Programs that are open to anyone - you don't need to be a member!
Learn to Sail programs extend from the primary school age 'Tackers' program, through to adult Start Sailing, Better Sailing and Green Fleet courses. Members receive significant discounts on Learn to Sail courses.
