Chelsea Skatepark
A great skate park which has had a $1.4 million transformation which covers a huge area with sections of lovely smooth tinted concrete. There are many open bowls, bumps, spines, rollovers, banks, rails and quarters. The skatepark has sections for different levels of skill and gets very busy on weekends.
On the side is a metal vert mini ramp which is 2.4m high and 7.3m wide and has rollin area and coping.
The skatepark is located at Bicentennial Park in Chelsea. Situated next to the skate park is a youth precinct which has a multi-court play area for soccer and basketball, DJ table, timber climbing poles and a shelter with seating.
It is planned to install a new lighting system that will activate only when people are using the skate park after dark.
