C.H. Sullivan Memorial Park Playground, Blake Street, Reservoir
This playground was extensively renovated in 2012, and new additions in January 2013 make this a good playground for children and adults.
While some of the old playground equipment has been incorporated into the new layout, the new additions make this an all-round park.
Most recently (Jan 2013) they have added a new playground area which features 4 fitness equipment pieces suitable for adults 15+.
The old clown face swing is still there, which although a period piece, the kids seem to love and gravitate to. Another old piece is the 4 person spin wheel which rotates around and a huge spinning frame with four rungs to hang from. They don't make 'em like this anymore.
Also new is a half-court basketball court and a BBQ table although no BBQ to cook on.
A number of shaded seats for parents to sit on and watch the kids plus a a new style water fountain to drink from.
There is also a large red fire truck, see-saw, bike springer, stand-on spinner, swings (one with harness), sandpit, soft stepping stones, horizontal bars, balance beam, maze panel, distorting mirror and two extra structures. One structure has steps, slide, tunnel, fireman's pole, spiral ladder and binoculars. The other has a wave slide, climbing wall, clanger to hit against pipes, chain bridge, monkey rungs and stepping stones.
The playground is next to a number of ovals where they play cricket, football and rugby.
