Caulfield Park Playground, Park Crescent, Caulfield North

Wow - an exceptional feature is the huge slide which gives a nice adrenaline rush. Large amount of varied play equipment which covers quite an area. There is a lot of climbing equipment and the playground would suit any kids with a prehensile tail.

Near the slide are a series of low ramps with slide, little ladders, telescope and many interesting educational panels. Scattered around are barrels which make a nice loud sound when turned, other music making equipment, stand-on spinner, purple dinosaur springer and four wheel bike springer. There is a structure with spiral slide, climber, abacus, tunnel, walkway and tall climbing wall plus a nice double sided climbing wall and swings. There is an area with a very large pyramid rope climbing frame, large twin slides and another structure with climbing wall, steps, chain traverse, monkey bars, slide, balance beam, shop front, climber, hanging disks and fireman's pole. Also a green grasshopper springer big enough to cause a locust plague all by itself.

Plenty of BBQs, tables and seats (some with shade). Even a shelter with table at the top of the hill with the large slide. Toilets, water taps, basketball court with hoop at each end, exercise stations located around the perimeter of the park and heaps of grassy areas for ball games.

There is an outdoor gym circuit around Caulfield Park.

There are three playgrounds in Caulfield Park - at Inkerman Road, Balaclava Road and Park Crescent.

Access for Dogs:

There is a large portion of Caulfield Park that is designated as an off-leash area. Specifically, this area encompasses the 6 sporting grounds in the centre of the park.
The Hawthorn Road end and the Park Crescent end are both on-leash areas.
