Caulfield Park Playground, Balaclava Road, Caulfield North
Some smallish slides, four swings including one with harness, two great large springers (Bertie beetle and a two person bee). Large rope climbing frame in a half dome shape and three stand-on spinning disks. There is an area under the trees with brick wall seats, distorting mirrors, "mushroom drums" and a device which makes noises when you walk past.
BBQs, tables, water tap and seats with shade. Very close to a large pond so need to be vigilant. There are some geese and ducks in the pond.
Some giant insect sculptures were added to the original playground.
There is an outdoor gym circuit around Caulfield Park.
There are three playgrounds in Caulfield Park - at Inkerman Road, Balaclava Road and Park Crescent.
Access for Dogs:
There is a large portion of Caulfield Park that is designated as an off-leash area. Specifically, this area encompasses the 6 sporting grounds in the centre of the park.
The Hawthorn Road end and the Park Crescent end are both on-leash areas.
