Casey Priddle Dancers offers classes in jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, acrobatics, musical theatre and much more!
At Casey Priddle Dancers we aim to provide students with the very best dance, acrobatic and performing arts training in a fun, safe and friendly environment. By nurturing and encouraging our students, we are able to achieve the perfect balance between technical excellence & fun, creating a life long love of dance.
Our students are self-motivated and take pride in their learning. Achieving great success at eisteddfods, we also hold a 100% Pass Rate for all exams. Past students have gone on to gain acceptance into some of the countries leading full time dance courses including; Ministry of Dance, Transit Dance and Patricks Studios Australia.
We understand that every dancer is different; from our littlest pre-schoolers to our pre-professional senior dancers, we want to see each and every student reach his or her full potential whilst building valuable life skills such as organisation, leadership, confidence and self-esteem. We are more than a dance school, we are a second family. Our senior students are fantastic roll models for our younger dancers and our dance environment is always welcoming and encouraging.
All classes are held in our purpose built studios. Our facility provides sprung dance floors, mirrors, ballet barres, kitchenette, reception, parents waiting area, student room, toilet/ bathroom facilities and on site parking.
Classes
Jazz
5,6,7,8! kicks, turns & jumps. A high-energy classes covering the latest music & commercial dance moves, flexibility, fitness & fun as well as more traditional Broadway style technique and Song & Dance.
Open Ballet / Technique Class
We understand that traditional classical ballet isn't for everyone. This class will teach students to use the correct muscles and help develop a good understanding of technique required to excel in other dance styles.
Classical Ballet (Exam Class)
Strong technique is a necessity for those who wish to pursue a career in dance. We offer syllabus training from two highly recognized dance societies; ATOD & ATD
Tap Dance
Have fun creating music with your feet
Hip-Hop
Urban street style of dance including breaking, popping & locking, often seen in video clips.
Contemporary / Lyrical
This modern, lyrical style of dance encourages interpretation and expression through free movement and choreography
Acrobatics
Learn how to safely perform your favourite tricks. Cartwheels, walkovers, aerial skills, flips, handsprings, tucks & more!
Toddler Dance / Mummy & Me
Creative and Expressive. A great introduction to dancing (No uniform or dance shoes required!)
Pre-school Dance
We cater to all pre-school dancers, offering both structured & fun class programs. Have fun developing coordination, flexibility & musical appreciation through imagination, creativity & use of props
Tiny Tumblers
Basic acrobatic skills for our littlest dancers in a fun & safe environment.
Combination Classes
Covering jazz, ballet, tap & basic acrobatics, these classes are highly recommended for young dancers to help develop a strong dance foundation.
Musical Theatre
Were you born to perform? 'Sing, Dance, Act' Become a triple threat and learn what it takes to cut it in the performing arts industry!
Boys Only
Hip-Hop & Break-Dance for boys! Specifically tailored to males, this class is fast paced, strong & masculine.
Pointe
Students' aged 12+ taking multiple ballet classes may be selected to go 'en pointe' when they are ready. Dancers must be developed, strong and show they dance with understanding.
Competition Troupes
Designed to extend our most dedicated students, training with like-minded peers in an encouraging environment. Students work on routines to perform in competitions and at various performances throughout the year. Students must show commitment to the team, work hard to develop strong dance technique and practice at home to maintain a high standard.
Elite Extension (Pre-Professional Program)
Our Elite Extension program is designed for trained dancers who are extremely passionate about their dancing and wish to pursue a career in the Dance/ Performing Arts Industry. The class curriculum changes weekly, covering all aspects of the dance industry, including workshops with industry professionals and special guest teachers. This class is designed for students who dance two or more nights a week, take all classes available to them and still want more!
Dance Step
In 2019, Casey Priddle Dancers became a registered affiliate studio of the DanceStep program. Offered in partnership with studio teachers, DanceStep empowers students to take care of others and guides them to be leaders and role models. The program covers assistant teaching skills such as behaviour management, different learning needs and styles, Safe Dance Principles and Anatomy to name just a few. These concepts are broken down to be taught in a sequential and age appropriate
way to children from around 10-11 years of age. Whether students are considering a career in dance teaching or otherwise, the DanceStep program is a great preparation for many aspects of life.
Private Lessons
One-on-one private tuition is also available for students who wish to participate in solos, duos and trios in competitions or for those who require extra assistance with class or exam work. Lessons are available with all teachers in all styles as well as with a junior teacher at a discounted price. Be quick as available times may book fast. Private lesson students are responsible for their own entry forms for all competitions and must seek approval before entering.
