Casey Fields Playground, Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East
Excellent playground with All Abilities access to all the play structures. The main area of the playground has a large sandpit with two structures. One structure has a chain ladder, multiple levels and two buckets with pulleys for hauling up sand. The other structure has a metal slide, sand-scoops, chain ladder, cubby with cooking area, cargo net bridge, chain climbing net, climbing walls, tunnels and a plaything with lots of coloured cylinders. This area has a four wheel bike springer.
Further across is a large boat in a sandpit with steps, straight slide, deck with steering wheel and binoculars, rope ladder, seats underneath and a little swing. There is a see-saw in the sandpit. Across from this is a twisted pipe climbing frame. There are four swings and a Liberty swing.
All the structures in this part of the playground are now covered by shade sails.
At the top of the hill is a birds nest swing, a steep curving slide (a bit too slow to generate real excitement according to the kids - and Dad) and big soft mounds with ledges to assist climbing which are connected together with rope bridges. There is a separate long rope bridge which leads to a large pyramid rope climbing frame.
Shelters with table and BBQs, unshaded seats and tables, limited shaded seats, water tap and toilets. A path leads to a lake and there is plenty of grassy areas and ovals nearby.
Casey Fields has 4 football/cricket ovals, 1 VFL oval, 3 netball courts, athletics track, criterium track, BMX track, 2 rugby league fields and 12 tennis courts.
The following clubs are located at the reserve: Casey Demons Football Club, Cranbourne Football Netball Club, Cranbourne Cricket, Casey South Melbourne Cricket Club, Devon Meadows Junior Football Club,Cranbourne Tennis Club, Cranbourne Little Athletics Club, Casey Cardinia Athletics Club, Casey Masters Athletics Club, Casey Cardinia HPV and Cycling Club, BASE, Casey BMX, Casey Warriors Rugby League Club.
These facilities are also located at Casey Fields: Criterium cycling track, fenced dog park, free golf practice cage, Tennis Centre, BMX track and fishing lake.
