Carlton Library Storytime
Storytime sessions are conducted throughout the year, except for the month of January. Listening to stories and songs helps to develop children's language and motor skills. Storytime introduces children to a wide range of books, encourages a life-long love of reading and libraries, and gives your child the opportunity to mix with other children.
Yarra City Libraries offers the following programs:
Babytime
Explore the world of songs, rhymes, rhythm and movement with your baby in these interactive 30 minute sessions.
Rhymetime
Designed for toddlers, these 30 minute sessions use stories, rhymes, fingerplays, songs and instruments to develop language and literacy skills. Held during school term for kids aged between 18 months-3 years.
Storytime
Pre-school children are introduced to a wide range of stories, books, songs and activities, developing language, social and motor skills. Held during school term. Suitable for kids aged between 3-5 years.
Greek Storytime
Celebrate Greek language and culture with a 30-minute session full of Greek stories and songs. Held during school term only. Suitable for kids aged 3+ and families.
