Carisbrook - Tullaroop Creek Walking Tracks
Gravelled walking paths follow the banks of the Tullaroop Creek between the Bland Reserve below Green Street and the Old Log Jail, and between Bucknall Reserve and Heape Street.
The tracks are wheelchair accessible, except for a small grade at the Old Log Jail and up Heape Street. The total distance is almost 2km.
The tracks take you past numerous redgums, river bottle brushes and wirilda wattles, with an under-story of shrubs. The creek has beds or reeds and cumbungi.
Extensive signage and seating is located along the tracks. You will find the birdlife prolific and the creek is inhabited by possums, native water rats, and you maybe lucky to see platypuses.
At the southern end of the walk, on one side of Tullaroop Creek separated by a bridge are unshaded tables, shaded BBQ and toilets (part of Bucknall Reserve). On the other side of the bridge is the children's playground itself (part of Bland Reserve) plus tables. This is a lovely spot for swimming in summer.
