Canterbury Sports Ground Playground, Guildford Road, Surrey Hills
The playground which has two sections has a shade shelter and is beautifully shaded by trees (except in winter when there are no leaves - but who wants shade then except for moles, badgers and water-rats).
The area for older kids has a structure with dual wave slides, various ladders, fireman's pole, cubby seat, inclined walkway, little flying fox and monkey bars. This area also has a birds nest swing, four standard swings, horizontal bars, spinning carousel, big heavy rock bridge for climbing and lots of logs and rocks.
Off to the side is a place for younger kids which is covered by a shade sail. There is a wooden structure with multiple levels, curved slide, inclined walkway, tunnel, rope bridge and monkey bars. To the side is a tic-tac-toe, pipes to hit a clanger against, shopfront with calculator, curved wooden bridge and bright yellow duck to ride.
There is a shaded table and unshaded seats, water tap and located next to an oval. On the other side of the oval near the pavilion are toilets.
The playground has been upgraded.
