Canterbury Gardens Playground, Blandford Crescent, Bayswater North
Playground has a lovely natural feel. Some parts have a soft spongy base while other parts have a wood chip base. Structure with dual slides, ladder with square rungs, shop front, disks on a vertical pole, rope bridge and steps. This needs some climbing skill to reach the slides. Spinning cup with hand wheel, two person pommel bounce, tube climbing frame shaped like a barn, four swings including one with a harness, soft spongy hill with two slides and a shelter with seat and abacus.
Lots of lovely touches like carvings on the back of wooden seats and murals on the toilet walls.
Some shade from trees. Shaded seats and tables and also seats under shelters. BBQ and basketball court, toilets (open 7am - 6pm) and water tap. Next to free public tennis courts and an outdoor gym. On the other side of the oval is a small BMX track.
The main negative is the location next to the car parking area without any fences.
