Bundoora Tennis Club
Bundoora Tennis Club has 8 fully lit courts (4 porous, 2 plexicushion, 2 synthetic grass) at N.J. Telfer Reserve.
The Bundoora Tennis Club seeks to provide facilities upon which new and old members of all ages and abilities can enjoy playing tennis. We strive to cater for both competition and social play. We organise social functions so that members may interact outside of the tennis environment. We promote health and well-being through direct involvement in tennis.
The Bundoora Tennis Club aims to provide development opportunities for new players through tennis coaching.

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Match Play - A modified competition using orange and green balls designed to be the first step for kids into competition tennis. Kids aged 12 and under will have the opportunity to learn the basics of tennis, including how to score, while making new friends. ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Match Play provides the first step into competition tennis for junior players.
Junior Competition - Bundoora Tennis Club participates in the North Eastern Junior Tennis Association (NEJTA) Saturday morning competitions. NEJTA is an inter club competition for players aged 18 and under. Two NEJTA seasons run per year in conjunction with school terms - Autumn (Feb-Jun; register mid Nov.) and Spring (Jul-Dec; register mid May), with each season running for 14 weeks (plus finals). Competition is played on a Saturday morning, singles/doubles from 7:45 and doubles only from 9:30 and finishing between 12:00 and 1:00pm. Teams play an equal number of home and away matches, with all match venues located in the north eastern suburbs.

Pennant - Tennis Victoria Pennant is the premier singles and doubles competition in Victoria. The Tennis Victoria Pennant season runs from April to approximately September each year and offers a grade for all playing abilities. The competition is spread across the weekend with the women's competition played on either Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon, and the men's competition on either Saturday or Sunday afternoons.
Heidelberg and Districts Tennis Association - Bundoora Tennis Club offers competition in the Heidelberg and District Tennis Association (HDTA) on Tuesday mornings for ladies. The competition is doubles only. Seasons run in summer and winter.
Social Tennis
In addition to our competition tennis we also have an active social tennis group.
Bundoora Tennis Club has a committed group of social tennis players who have been playing on Saturday afternoons at the club for well over 20 years.
Typically occupying two courts, with 8-12 players attending on a regular basis, they play a friendly game of men's and mixed doubles tennis starting at about 12.30pm. Generally middle aged, what they lack in speed and skill they make up for in enthusiasm. The day's play is always punctuated by afternoon tea at 3pm involving some cakes, tea/coffee, a friendly chat and a welcome rest.
New players who have played some tennis before and have mastered the basics are welcome.
Tennis balls are supplied every week and regular players are asked to contribute $3 (this fee includes a contribution towards the provision of new balls and the social players' annual Christmas and mid-year functions).
