Buna Reserve Playground, Boyd Crescent, Heidelberg West

Playground is located on an island of land surrounded by roads and parking areas without fences. There is a really good range of equipment and the main structure has a wave slide, ladder with square rungs, chain bridge, monkey rungs, hanging disks, abacus, shop front, steps and small straight ladder. There is a large climbing structure with three walls - one has a climbing mat, one has plastic tyres and the other has a spiders web climbing frame. There is also a cone shaped rope climbing frame, large see-saw, swings, train springer, rocker with two seats suspended from poles and lotus leaf which spins around with a hand wheel.

Basketball court and decent grassy area. Unshaded table and seats with possible shade. I wonder how long the playground equipment will stay in good order given that the local youths were playing on the equipment accompanied by a 5 metre plank of wood. I know that I am going to get persecuted for saying this - BUT I'm not sure that mothers with children would find this a very comfortable and secure environment.
