Adventures
Cliff Picnics
A truly unique experience on Mt Buffalo. Come dine with us on your private ledge suspended 300m above the valley floor. Enjoy local produce lovingly prepared whilst revelling in the majestic views from Mt Buffalo. We offer sunrise, lunch or dinner cliff picnic options available throughout the year and have two ledges available for groups of four.
The Cathedral Explorer
Over a few hours you'll walk, squeeze through chimneys, scramble under, over and around boulders, climb some rope ladders and finally scramble right to the highest point on the Cathedral. After taking in some amazing views that not many people get to appreciate we have an easy abseil right back to the ground.
This isn't a rock climbing tour, or an abseiling tour, though it includes a bit of both. You'll enjoy the tour most if you're reasonably fit and active. No previous climbing or abseiling experience is required but you should be ready to get up high on top of some cliffs!
Whitewater Kayaking
This experience is perfect for novice kayakers who are ready for a challenge. This family friendly activity is guaranteed to create unforgettable memories whilst you paddle the beautiful Ovens River which is a short drive from Porepunkah and Bright. The tour will include whitewater paddling at grades of 1 to 2 depending on water levels.
Whitewater Rafting on the King River
Over the course of 3 hours you will experience loads of awesome rapids up to grade 3. Our guides will provide a thorough safety brief and then as a team it is up to you to navigate the multitude of tricky rapids that will test your rafting skills.
You are guaranteed to get wet, smile from ear to ear and experience an amazing stretch of river.
Participants must be able to swim 50 meters, be confident around water and have an adventurous spirit. The water levels on this river can fluctuate over the spring months. If river levels are too low we will have to cancel the tour and a full refund will be provided. Rafting Season: Winter - Spring.
Rock Climbing
The perfect introduction to outdoor rock climbing on the granite of Mt Buffalo (or Mt Pilot in the winter months). Learn the art of granite climbing whilst being taught the necessary rope skills to keep each other safe. This family-friendly experience is sure to spark the climbing bug and create great memories for all involved.
Underground River Caving
This experience is great for everyone ages 10 and up who are ready for a challenge. Over three hours we'll walk to and from the Underground River Cave entrance and explore the cave from end to end!
On the way through the cave you will wade though cool pools of water, experience true dark and glow worm caverns, an underground waterfall, and squeeze and scramble above, below and through lots of granite boulders. A perfect way to cool down on a hot day.
Abseiling
Ready to get the family outdoors, into some sunshine and have an adventure? This is the abseiling tour for you. Perfect for first-timers and kids, we'll have a range of abseils on offer from nice and small for the kids and the nervous up to 25 meters to test anyone!
This will push you out of your comfort zone and into the fun zone on the stunning Mount Buffalo!
