Brandon Park Reserve Playground, Ferntree Gully Road, Glen Waverley
The playground was upgraded to include a series of standalone elements including a cube climbing structure with climbing wall, rope nets and a suspended ladder, a fun group of wooden climbing poles (which will be fun until a woodchoppers convention is held here), hillock with various methods to get up and a quick way of getting down (a wave slide), birds nest swing, standard swings and a sandpit with a digger.
A concrete path winds between the play equipment and provides good all-abilities access. There is a shelter with table and unshaded tables and seats. Next to an oval, Nicely landscaped with logs, stumps and rocks.
Brandon Park Reserve has a dual purpose as a retaining basin in heavy rainfall and a sporting facility. The dual soccer field and cricket oval is home to the Waverley Victory Football Club and the Mulgrave Wheelers Hill Cricket Club. The reserve has a circular path around the reserve for a walk. At the entrance of the reserve are the Brandon Park Child Care Centre and the multi-purpose Brandon Park Community Centre.
