Review:
Train running days are very busy and it can be a bit frustrating looking for a parking place near the track. Even though there were a lot of people, there were also a lot of trains and so you get onto a train fairly quickly. One nice feature is that there are two station platforms and you can choose between the V/Line diesel train on one platform or another train such as a steam train which runs from the other platform.
The ride takes 7-8 minutes and loops around a slightly wooded area. There is a bridge to create interest and you get to pass a few other trains along the way going in the opposite direction.
The volunteers are very friendly and cheery and you get the real complete experience with a ticket conductor who clips your ticket and a station master who waves his flag. There is a kiosk, toilets and a small playground next to the track.
