Boneo Discovery Park has a natural environment comprising 27 acres of native flora and fauna.

It is the home of Sand Sculpting Australia which presents sand sculpting exhibitions. The sand sculpting area offers visitors an epic kids zone with sand play pit, sand diggers, sand art, kiosk and pedal boats. Apart from sand sculpting there is a games garden, mini golf, wetlands and gardens, kiosk and rides.

Mazes - Our mazes were designed especially for young children, allowing them to wonder through the mazes at their own pace. Parents are able to watch them from the side lines and see the shear delight on their faces that they completed it on their own.

The Wetlands - The boardwalk winds through tall native tea-tree to our bird hide and borders the waters edge throughout the gardens. Our wetlands cover over 15 acres of waterways and lakes. The wetlands are home to many species of birds, some on the endangered list, including black ducks, wood ducks, water hens, pelicans, swans, cormorants, herons, egrets, spoon bills, cranes, plovers, and small bird species including finches and willy-wag tails. Long tailed skinks, echidnas and bush wallabies can been seen if you walk quietly along the boardwalk in one of the largest stands of swamp tea-tree left on the peninsula.

Gardens and Mega Games - Relax in the gardens and play outdoor games - The gardens with lush green lawns and large shady trees is the perfect setting for a family picnic and birthday parties. Giant Games are a huge attraction, including chess, draughts (checkers), snakes & ladders, on target, connect four, noughts and crosses and other mind bending puzzles. The games are old favorites with a modern twist, enabling everyone in the family to play.

Mini Golf - Our professionally designed 18 Hole Mini Golf Course welcomes all ages and abilities. Designed to challenge even the highest standard of golfer our 18 holes will have you chasing that ever-elusive hole in one! With children teeing off on the red markers and adults playing off the blue the scene is set for an epic battle. If you fancy yourself as quite the professional the black markers will be your starting point. Unlimited rounds of Mini Golf are included in your entry price so a rematch to settle the score is no problem.

The Lakeside Kiosk - Our licensed Lakeside Kiosk offers service with a smile with delicious food in a family friendly atmosphere. We have a collection of delicious pies and sausage rolls, sandwiches, salads and cakes. You can enjoy a glass of wine on our lakeside deck or grab an ice-cream and take a walk along our wetlands boardwalk. Our jumping castle is located right next to the kiosk so you can enjoy a coffee while the kids burn off some energy.

A great way to finish off a round of mini golf or a maze adventure is to indulge in a perfectly crafted barista made coffee, a glass of wine or a craft beer from one of the prized breweries and wineries of the Mornington Peninsula. Relax and enjoy the view from the deck overlooking the wetlands or keep toastie-warm by the fire during the cooler months. Note: We only have tea, coffee, cold drinks, snacks and cakes on school term weekdays. On weekends, school holidays and public holidays our kiosk is fully operational.

Rides - On weekends and during school holidays, visitors can enjoy the Adventure Zone! Test your skills on the climbing wall, bungy tramps or explore King Lake on the pedal boats. During the summer school holidays the Adventure Zone features Inflatable, Giant Waterslide and Mushroom Waterslide!

Birthdays Parties are very popular at Boneo Maze & Mini Golf. We encourage you to bring a picnic and other party treats and setup in the garden and games area where children are able to run around and play games and only be a short distance away from food and drinks.

Parental guidance is required at all times. No Hourly limit for parties. Bookings are essential. Minimum 14 days notice.

Overall the Maze and Wetlands area has a lot of different activities to keep the kids amused for hours for a reasonable price.

The mini golf course is very good. It is a brilliant idea to have three different holes on each hole of the course (red for beginners, blue for intermediate and black for professional. There are also two different tee-off positions on each hole; one for children and one for adults. This means that adults and kids of different standards can compete against each other on a fair basis. The course has a good degree of challenge with a combination of smooth fairways and greens together with slightly rougher parts on the edge of the course. Most holes have some degree of slope which helps to make the holes interesting. You can also play an unlimited number of holes which means you can play some holes and then come back to it after another activity.

The main maze was a bit confusing because there were a number of wooden gates which were open and we weren't sure whether we should go through them or bypass them. There were a few statues located at various places in the maze but it would be better to have a prize for the kids if they could find certain things in order to keep their interest up. The dead-ends in the maze are also very long and so there is a lot of long back-tracking. Note: If you find an open gate, then close it and don't go through the gate. You reach your destination when you reach the elevated platform.

The boardwalk was nice and cool under the trees and there are a number of wooden cubby houses along the way. There was a bird hide which overlooked a lake but there was only a small number of water birds. We did see a nesting wren close to the boardwalk though.

The boardwalk opens up to a large grassy area with trees for shade. This has activities such as giant chess, large hookey board, giant checkers and lots of puzzles on large concrete slabs e.g. Rooks Maze, Snakes and Ladders, Arrow Maze, Mind Bending Maze, Quoits and 4 in Line. There is also a cute little hedge maze which is great to let the kids loose on. There is a wooden platform overlooking this maze - great for Mum and Dad to lord over the kids and give directions. There is a Cage Maze where you have to crawl through large tunnels to reach the end. In this area there are some shaded tables and also some of the games are in shaded locations. A positive aspect of this area is that many of the games are in multiple locations e.g. there are four giant chess boards. This area also has a beautiful old style carousel.

The Reception building has a nice cafe with indoor and outdoor seating next to the lake and sells drinks and basic food such as pita pizzas, nachos, rolls, wraps and ice-creams. Free water is also provided. The area has books to read and couches as well as tables. There is an area with displays which the kids can touch which has items such as bird nests and a snake skin. There is also the dreaded Gift Shop - escape with your wallet intact if you are very lucky. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we visited there was a free jumping castle on the veranda.

Make sure you take water with you and go to the toilet before leaving the Administration building because no facilities exist outside.

Note: Since our review the large hedge maze has been closed but there is still the smaller hedge maze and wooden maze in the games garden.
