Bladin Street Park Dog Off Leash Area (Laverton)

The dog park is located on the south side of Laverton Creek, west of Bladin Street and opposite McCormack Park. There are no signs to indicate that it is an off leash area but there is a bin and doggy bag dispenser near the bus shelter.
Initially there is a thin grassy strip and thick trees beside the creek and as you head westwards tall thick reeds border the creek which seems to spell snake danger in summer. Most of the neighbouring fences are falling down (or have fallen down) and pose a risk of tetanus from exposed nails or your dog wandering off into someone's back yard via the broken fence. The off leash area ends when you reach a cyclone wire fence which is in surprisingly good condition.
