Blackwood - Gold Stamp Battery

Blackwood - Gold Stamp Battery

The park has a 19th century gold stamp battery on display. It was originally owned and used by H.H Cann, the Byers Brothers, and C. Gribble in the late 1800's to crush gold bearing rock at the Rip Van Winkle mine where it was driven by a thirty foot water wheel.

It was later moved to the Easter Monday mine where it was retrieved by Herb and Ken Cann in the 1970's.

The park also has unshaded tables, RSL memorial, information board and water tap.
