Black Horse Lodge provides horse riding lessons and clinics in the heart of Little River.

Black Horse Lodge is located 30 minutes from Melbourne in Little River. This property spans 10 acres and is the perfect place for you to have riding lessons. The facilities are excellent with all weather structures and lighting so your lesson times can be flexible to suit any busy lifestyle.

Facilities at Black Horse Lodge include an indoor arena with lights (26 X 58 metres), full size all weather sand riding arena, undercover sand and rubber round yard with lights, jumps and trail equipment, hot wash spray, undercover stabling area and tie up areas.

Lessons

Black Hose Lodge caters for riders of all ages. Specialising in Western and English riding styles, we aim to provide riders with the skills they need to succeed in the show ring or to just enjoy the sport as a hobby.

From Equestrian disciplines in both English and Western to dressage and ranch riding, our lessons are tailored to suit you and your horse's individual needs. This includes ground training, handling, acceptance of objects to build a relationship of trust.

Connecting with your horse is one of the first steps to building a great partnership. Our lessons are structured to meet your needs based on your current skill level. Whether you are a novice, more competitive or just want to have some fun, each session will be a step further to achieving your goals. Our main mission is for you to have fun, keep fit and become more horse savvy

Lesson Prices

Clinics & Shows

Black Horse Lodge facilitates clinics throughout the year. We also host clinics making industry professionals available to the west and beyond. Black Horse Lodge has successfully hosted clinics by well-known professionals from here and abroad.

One and two day clinics are a great way to learn specific skills with others. You will get to meet people with similar interests while being taught the best practices in horsemanship.

Agistment

Black Horse Lodge offers permanent agistment at a competitive price. We provide a safe haven for your horse with modern facilities for you to use when you visit.

We provide the following:

Safe individual paddocks with stable or shelter
2 feeds per day (plus hay twice a day)
Daily rugging
Wellbeing essentials (farrier, dentist, and worming)
Secure tack lockers
