Berwick Tennis Club
The Berwick Tennis Club is located right in the heart of Olde Berwick, on top of the hill on the Arch Brown Reserve and is one of the largest tennis clubs in the City of Casey.
Berwick Tennis Club has the following facilities:
- 3 Plexipave courts
- 4 synthetic grass courts
- 4 courts are floodlight for night use
- Practice hitting wall
- Plenty of seating and shelter for spectators
- BBQ facilities
- Tennis pavilion, fully air-conditioned, seats approximately 40 people, with large kitchen, bar, male and female change rooms with toilet and shower facilities
Competition
The Berwick Tennis Club offers a range of organised competition and social tennis for all ages and playing abilities, including day and night play.
Juniors - Berwick Tennis Club currently has 24 teams competing in the Berwick & District Tennis Association (BDTA) competitions on Saturday and Sunday mornings. This makes the club one of the largest in the Association. Teams compete in singles and doubles competitions against clubs in the local area.
Mid-Week Ladies - The Berwick Mid Week Ladies currently have teams playing in Dandenong Districts (DDTA) and Waverley Tennis (WDTA). Teams cover a wide range of standards, so any lady wishing to participate can be accommodated.
Seniors - Berwick Tennis Club currently has 7 teams competing in the Waverley and Districts Tennis Association (WDTA) competition on Saturday afternoon.
Night - Tuesday night is an in-house, round-robin format, mixed competition while Thursday night is an in-house, round-robin format, men's competition.
Social Tennis
Come along and join us at Thursday morning social tennis. Start time is 9 am. All abilities and ages welcome. Open to members and non-members.
Coaching
The Berwick Tennis Club employs a team of fantastic and very experienced tennis coaches from Set4Tennis offering a range of coaching options for all ages and playing abilities, from beginners through to advanced players. Tennis squads are also available for some of the more experienced junior players. Our coaches also run a range of tennis clinics during the school holidays throughout the year.
