Bendigo - White Hills Sediments Geological Reserve

Bendigo - White Hills Sediments Geological Reserve

The White Hills Sediments Geological Reserve has 2.5km of walking tracks displaying the remnants of many Chinese mines, two sediment ponds, geological features, flora and fauna.

The Reserve is accessible from either the south end, at Powell Street or the north end at Lyons Street.

Review:

There is a car park at the southern end along Powell Street. The southern section is wild and overgrown and more open to the north. A vehicle width track runs in the north-south direction parallel to the railway track which can be boggy in places after rain. There are no facilities such as water tap, bins or toilets here but there is a seat beside the path. There are quite a few interesting bushes and trees in the reserve as well as the geological features and the varied vegetation is the highlight.
