Bendigo Easter Fair
Commencing in 1871, the Bendigo Easter Fair is one of Australia's longest running community events. The 150th Bendigo Easter Fair is being celebrated in 2022.
Over the four-day Easter long weekend, Bendigo's beautiful Rosalind Park and surrounding streets will be transformed into a vibrant precinct bursting with family-friendly entertainment, stage shows, hands-on activities, live music, roving performers, an Easter egg hunt and more!
Experience the thrills of Bendigo TAFE Carnival Central, find a treasure a the Rotary Market, and marvel at the extraordinary entertainers wandering through picturesque Rosalind Park.
Vision Australia Easter Egg Hunt
On Good Friday, over 85,000 Easter Eggs will be hidden in non-allergenic wood-wool at Bendigo Rosalind Park for 3,400 children to find! This is one of the all time favourite activities of the Bendigo Easter Festival.
The Easter Egg Hunts are organised for separate age groups:
3 and under: 10am, 11.20am, 12.40pm, 2pm
4-5 years: 10.20am, 11.40am, 1pm, 2.20pm, 3.20pm
6-8 years: 10.40am, 12noon, 1.20pm, 2.40pm, 3.40pm
6-12 years: 4.20pm
9-12 years: 11am, 12.20pm, 1.40pm, 3pm, 4pm
13-17 years: 4.40pm
18+ (Blindfolded): 5pm
Easter Egg Hunt Info and Bookings
Dance, drums, Lion teams and 100,000 crackers are all part of the Chinese Spring Festival and Awakening of the Dragon, as Bendigo celebrates its Chinese heritage at the Dai Gum San Precinct.
As the sun sets on Easter Sunday, find your place along the road to cheer on the convoy of illuminated floats in the Sherridon Homes Torchlight Procession, concluding with a spectacular fireworks display over the city.
The 150th Bendigo Easter Fair will culminate when thousands of people line the streets on Easter Monday to watch the gorgeous display of colour in the Bendigo Advertiser Gala Parade. Experience the excitement as Bendigo's newest Dragon Dai Gum Loong (the world's longest Imperial Dragon!), weaves his way through the historic streetscapes of Bendigo in his first solo parade outing.
