Bendigo Creek Trail
The 17km (one-way) Bendigo Creek Trail takes you past some of Bendigo's most historic icons and attractions.
Following the Bendigo Creek, Bendigo Creek trail traces its course north-east from Crusoe Reservoir and provides you the opportunity to visit and experience significant visitor icons all the way to Bendigo Pottery in Epsom. Along the way it reveals Bendigo's grand buildings, civic spaces, the charm of nineteenth century miners' cottages and domestic streetscapes of the suburbs. Make sure you take your time to experience all that Bendigo has to offer.

1. CRUSOE RESERVOIR & NUMBER 7 PARK
Crusoe Rd, Kangaroo Flat
In the mid 1800's Joseph Brady, an Irish engineer, was responsible for the development of two major projects; Crusoe Reservoir and No. 7 Park. Today you can explore Bendigo's early water purification systems at both reservoirs, enjoy non-powered boating, fishing and swimming at Crusoe Reservoir; while at Number 7 Park you can explore nature first hand. Walking, cycling / and picnic facilities are available throughout the park.
2. GATEWAY PARK
1- 22A High St, Kangaroo Flat
Gateway Park in Kangaroo Flat is a municipal park that incorporates a lake, function centre, public toilets, car parking, barbeque and picnicking facilities. The Bendigo Creek's native vegetation helps create a unique natural character for a park located within a residential area.
3. CENTRAL DEBORAH GOLD MINE
1- 76 Violet St, Bendigo
Central Deborah Gold Mine was one of the last two commercial mines to cease operation in the wealthy Bendigo goldfields, operating from 1939-1954. During this time 929kg of gold was extracted, valued at about $44 million today. It now offers three different underground experiences and is home to Australia's deepest underground mine tour, 228 metres below the surface.
4. ROSALIND PARK & BENDIGO VISITOR CENTRE
Corner View St and Pall Mall, Bendigo
Rosalind Park is Bendigo's distinguished 'city park' and an important landmark of Greater Bendigo. Originally the site of the Government Camp (c. 1852), it combines both historic and contemporary attractions. These include the Queen Victoria and Lansell Gardens, the Conservatory Gardens, a lush fernery, the cascades and grotto, sports facilities and a poppet head look-out tower providing panoramic views of Bendigo.
5. CHINESE PRECINCT/ GOLDEN DRAGON MUSEUM
1/11 Bridge St, Bendigo
The Golden Dragon Museum located within the Dai Gum San Chinese precinct offers you a living history of the Chinese people of Bendigo with stunning Chinese Gardens. The museum displays processional regalia, intricately carved furniture, delicately embroidered costumes and other renowned items. The museum is also home to the world's oldest imperial Chinese Dragon, Loong and the world's longest imperial Chinese Dragon Sun Loong.
Please ensure you use caution when navigating through the CBD section of the trail. This section is not a dedicated cycling/walking path and requires the usage of roads.
6. LAKE WEEROONA
260 Napier St, Bendigo
This beautiful ornamental lake was transformed from a dusty mining area in the 1870s. Take a walk around the picturesque fake and enjoy a coffee, ice cream or small bite to eat. The kids will love the amazing playground and the wide open spaces. You can additionally watch the rowers, view the birdlife, have a barbeque or simply contemplate your reflection.
7. JOSS HOUSE & PEPPERGREEN FARM
Finn St/Thunder St, Bendigo

In the 18605 the Bendigo Joss House Temple was constructed as a place of worship and is one of the few remaining developments of its type in Australia. The main temple is dedicated to Guan Di, the god of war and prosperity. Close by is PepperGreen Farm which was originally a Chinese market garden. It now serves as a community park for horticulture, education and heritage awareness.
8. WHITE HILLS CEMETERY
291 Holdsworth Road, White Hills
From trail: 200-300m West
You can start at the impressive entrance with its iron fence and gates bordered by a row of Peppercorn trees. The serpentine like paths lead you to the European and Chinese graves, the burning tower for offerings and the central rotunda. Rich in history, the White Hills Cemetery is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register as an outstanding example of a goldfields cemetery, showing great wealth and cultural diversity.
9. BENDIGO BOTANIC GARDENS
555 Napier St, White Hills
The beautiful Bendigo Botanic Gardens were established in 1857 with many plants received from the renowned Director of Melbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens, Ferdinand von Mueller. Some highlights of the gardens include a seasonal billabong, Edwardian era picnic pavilion, large flight aviary and the historic Arch of Triumph. An ongoing redevelopment and expansion of the gardens is currently underway.
10. BENDIGO POTTERY COMPLEX
146 Midland Hwy, Epsom

Experience the history of Australia's oldest working pottery with demonstrations, hands on activities and interpretive displays. Visit the Interpretive museum, step back in time and learn the history of the Bendigo Pottery from its beginning in 1858 to the present day. Browse the extensive sales gallery featuring a diverse range of ceramics, meet an artisan or visit the Antiques and Collectables area.
