Beeac - Heritage Windmill Park
Beeac Heritage Windmill Park was established in 2010 and commemorates the 150th anniversary of Beeac which is located about 20km from Colac. It celebrates the existence of the businesses of the six known windmill makers in the town at various times from about 1890 to the 1940s. The windmills were donated by property owners in the region and restored by local people.
There are displays of seven windmills and lots of historical information boards about the town and windmills which have played a key role in development of the area by providing water for crops, livestock and the people.
There are unshaded seats and toilets next door.
