Barrabool Boulevard Playground, Mambourin
This is the all-you-can-eat option for playgrounds - no kid is going to go home hungry from here. There are two big climbing structures each with an exciting slide, play areas for younger kids, water play area, huge basketball court with markings for hopscotch and four square, tennis rebound wall, big climbing wall, decent skate park, grassy area with metal soccer goal and combined AFL/rugby goals, outdoor gym circuit, water taps, picnic facilities and toilets - and the Little Growling Cafe is only 100 m down the road.
The south play structure, which is the biggest tower and has a big straight tunnel slide, has multiple levels of platforms with a rope ladder at the bottom to give access to the higher levels. Any kid should be able to climb up to get to the slide. If you don't fancy the slide down there is a net tunnel across to a middle tower and another net tunnel across to a third tower. The middle tower has steps and third tower uses a rope ladder.
The north play structure, which has a curved tunnel slide, is less complex with steps and then multiple levels leading to the slide.
Away from the main structures are dual flying foxes with disk seats and an area to explore with a series of soft paths running between garden beds with native grass. There are tunnels, log balance beam circuit, revolving rope cone, drums, birds nest swing, xylophones, spinning carousel, echidna springers, four person rocker and stand-on spinner.
There's a water play area with two logs see-saws which can be ridden to cause water to spray from the top of tall columns and a water pump to pump water into metal trays and then through an area with a little islands to hop across. Sluice gate allow kids to back-up the water and make a little pond or to allow the water to flow into the wetlands area. The hours of operation of the water play area are:

Closed 1 May - 30 September
There is a shelter with three tables and BBQs plus unshaded tables. There are also unshaded tables and seats.
