Sunset Cinema (Mount Martha)

Sunset Cinema (formerly Barefoot Cinema) is a stunning outdoor cinema in a picturesque location at The Briars, Mount Martha. Sunset Cinema is much more than a movie and our great selection of food and drinks is a highlight of our events.

Make sure you arrive early to enjoy an icy cold drink from the Bar, tuck into some delicious food truck food and stock up on tasty treats from the Candy Bar.

So that you can enjoy the stunning view and fun festival atmosphere at Sunset Cinema, we will be opening our doors at 6.30pm each night and we encourage all of you to get there early and soak up the serenity. The film will start as the sun dips into the ocean which during the summer period will be at approximately 8.30pm at Mount Martha.

As this is a fully licensed event, children under the age of 18 years old will only be permitted if accompanied by a responsible adult. Kids under the age of 3 can attend for free and kids between the age of 3 and 12 can enter with a discounted Child ticket.

General Admission Seating
No seats are provided in the general admission area, but there is plenty of room for your own beanbag, picnic rug or low back chair. It's also pretty comfy on the grass! There will be designated areas towards the back or sides of the venue for anyone with a high back chair. There are also some beanbags for hire onsite, but they sell out quick so make sure you get in early!

VIP Lounge
Treat yourself with a VIP Ticket and make this a really special night out. Each VIP Ticket includes:

your choice of a reclining chair or beanbag;
your seat within a premium seating area;
and bottomless fresh popcorn

There are no allocated seats in the VIP Lounge, so make sure you arrive early to get a good spot for you and your friends. VIP Lounge upgrade does not include admission and must be added separately. Your entire group must have the VIP upgrade to be seated in the same area.

Food & Drink
Food and drink is available at the venue. We suggest that you arrive early to make the most of this experience and there will be plenty of food and drink options to keep you going while you're there. You're also more than welcome to bring your own food and drinks (excluding alcohol and glass) and have a bit of a picnic if you so choose.

If you want to really make the most of your night, we will have at least one food truck at every session serving delicious food throughout the summer season with various food options that are sure to leave you wanting more.

Our Candy Bar will be full of the goodies and treats that we all love to eat at the cinema. We have snacks and drinks and if you're more of a sweet tooth, you can find delicious chocolates and lollies as well as delicious popcorn and choc tops.

Sunset Cinema is a fully licensed event and BYO is not permitted.
