Banyule Flats Reserve Playground, Somerset Drive, Viewbank
Bit too far to walk from the car park for my liking. I don't know of many less pleasurable experiences than trying to coax tired kids to make a long walk back to the car. Wooden structure is composed of two parts joined by a chain traverse. The parts have two slides, curved ladder, climber with rings, monkey bars, chain ladder, flying fox and fireman's pole. Four swings.
Seat without shade. Next to ovals and cricket nets. Beware of snakes from October to March if the sign at the car park is anything to go by.
The Reserve has a range of facilities including BBQs, bicycle trail, bushland, carpark, river/creek, picnic table, wetland and pavilion/hall.
