The Ballarat Market is a 'Not for Profit' Community Market, run by volunteers in the Rotary Club of Ballarat South. Money raised from the stalls and entry into the market, goes back into the community.
The Ballarat Market is a blend of indoor and outdoor stalls in a colourful and energetic environment.
For over 40 years The Ballarat Market has been an important part of Ballarat's culture and with the support of the local community it has grown enormously and now boasts quality stalls and thousands of visitors every Sunday. Whether it's arts and craft, plants, clothing, homewares, tools, electrical goods, unique gifts, home-made or pre-loved goods, you will discover it for sale at The Ballarat Market. For the bargain hunter, skilful shopper or someone looking for a social morning out; everyone is welcome to browse and enjoy The Ballarat Market experience.
Opening Hours:
The Ballarat Market opens to the public from 8:00am until 1:00pm each Sunday at the Ballarat Showgrounds, on the corner of Howitt Street and Creswick Road, Ballarat.
Cost:
A gold coin donation would be much appreciated when entering The Ballarat Market.
Access for Dogs:
Dogs are allowed at the Ballarat Market, but they need to be kept on a leash at all times and owners need to clean up after their dogs. Bags for dog poo are available at the front gate if needed.
