Gold Rush Golf has two 18 hole themed courses built to Hollywood standards. With both indoor and outdoor courses, we are an all year, all weather facility. Also on site is a themed cafe, games room, BBQ and function facilities as well as tourist information. Home of the 'Big Miner' statue.

If you do the indoor course be prepared for an assault on the senses, especially your hearing. A "Lost in Time" theme traverses across the 18 holes of the indoor course. For the first set of holes there is a huge animatronic dinosaur bellowing out coupled with music from Jurassic Park, snakes and King Kong.

At hole 6, there is a medieval theme with plenty of knights and includes four glow in the dark holes. From hole 14 there is a Pirate theme which finishes with a Day of the Dead celebration hole.

Generally the holes are quite short and not too hard. The whole experience of the indoor course could be a bit scary for young kids. There is a small room labeled danger - those with heart conditions or young kids should enter at their own risk.

The Outside course has a Gold Rush theme and the holes are longer than the indoor course but not too difficult. There are plenty of relics from the gold mining era to add interest. The course was in decent condition. There was a radio blaring out over the course and this was an annoying distraction. I can listen to the radio at home or in the car, on a mini golf course I want a bit more peace and quiet.

The staff were very friendly. There was an area with tables and magazines (and a fire in winter) and some free video games kept the kids entertained while Mum and Dad had a coffee. Unfortunately there was also a radio blaring in the cafe area. There was also some tables outside under shelter.

In summary, don't wonder coming if you want a quiet game of mini golf but otherwise it offers very interesting courses, either indoors or outdoors. It is reasonably priced, especially if you play both courses.
