Bairnsdale - East Gippsland Rail Trail
Come and experience this Rail Trail. Follow the former railway route from Bairnsdale on the Mitchell River to Orbost 'On the Snowy', along 98 kms of East Gippsland countryside. The trail crosses the Nicholson and Tambo River bridges, passes the historic Stony Creek trestle bridge, passes by farmland,over creeks, through forests rich in fauna and flora.

Under the Surface Artwork
There is a multi-dimensional outdoor art gallery along the East Gippsland Rail Trail. Under the Surface, features art produced by local artists Alice Pepper, Patricia Pittman, and visiting artists David "MEGGS" Hooke, LING, and Minna Leunig with pieces inspired by the story of the Indigenous Gunaikurnai community.
