Babington Park Playground, Thornhill Street, Hastings
There is a playground, old pump, BBQ under a shelter and shaded and unshaded tables. Even though the sign says "This historical pump is not an item of play equipment", the kids loved climbing all over it. The playground structure has a number of inter-connecting tunnels which you can slide down and climb up, various ladders including a spiral ladder, abacus and a panel with gears. The design is like a large McDonald's playground but without the burgers and fries. A water tap would be handy here.
Located on Marine Parade opposite Hastings Park.
