Moorabbin Air Museum (Moorabbin Airport)
The Australian National Aviation Museum, located at Melbourne's Moorabbin Airport, is owned and operated by the Australian Aircraft Restoration Group which is a community based, non-profit company. The Museum's objective is to tell the story of both the people and machines that made Australia's rich aviation heritage.
We are the oldest volunteer based aviation museum in Australia, and own the most complete collection of Australian built aircraft. The collection of over 50 aircraft and engines include some of the oldest and rarest in the world.
The aim of the Museum is to collect, restore, preserve and display Australia's extensive aviation and aviation manufacturing heritage. Over 300 members ranging from 14 to 95 years old regularly attend the Museum and work on aircraft, restorations, maintenance or even running the front shop and providing tours. We welcome all new volunteers or members and no experience is necessary as we provide many levels of training for the various aspects of the Museum.
