Astelot Drive Playground, Donvale

A fun, pleasant neighbourhood playground with a main structure which has a mountain theme - although the council says it is a fun spaceship theme. Maybe we can compromise and call it a mountainous spaceship theme. The structure has a lovely climbing wall with nice big holds, ledges, vertical chain climbing frame, high and steep scrambling wall, a suspended chain and a jump touch board to see how high you can jump (free free to try and break Dad's record of 3m). Another structure has dual wave slides, hanging chain, steps, steering wheel and shop front. Also a stand-on spinner and swings. Targeted more at older children but there are still some play activities suitable for young children.

Shaded table and seats with water tap. Next to a lovely row of pine trees and the kids had fun exploring and finding pine cones. Perfect place for a picnic under the shady pine trees. Grassy area with a slope behind the trees.
