Melbourne Studio of Art Junior (formerly Art Encounters) is a unique school that strongly believes in the importance of educating potential artists of all ages in solid drawing and painting skills.
The children's program provides young people with a variety of options and contexts in which to learn art and develop their creativity.
We offer classes to children who are highly interested in learning how to draw, paint and express themselves using a visual medium. Children who attend our programs develop confidence in their art making skills and are often the best art students in their schools.
Our school is a haven for creative kids of all dispositions who have this passion for learning about how to make effective art by learning to draw and paint properly. Classes contain a busy and productive environment with lots of interesting conversation and active creation of the projects at hand.
School Holiday Program
Each activity of the program is tailored for students aged 5-12 years. Topics which may be covered include Introduction to Drawing Faces & Portraits, Colour and Expression, Fantastical Flowers, Magical Masterpieces, Exploring Nature, Animalia, Still Life, Famous Artists, Feathered Friends and Express Yourself.
