Argo Reserve Playground, Argo Street, South Yarra
Nicely created playground with interesting and unusual equipment. One area has a structure with a large curvy triple slide (on the basis of equal opportunity, the council must be catering for families who have been through the IVF program and had triplets), various shaped ladders, traversing steps, walkway, fireman's pole, climber, chain ladder and flying fox. Another section under lovely spreading branches of trees has a train theme. The structure has a curved slide, steering wheel, two large clocks, tunnel, steps, abacus, shop front, panels with animal shapes and steps.
Unshaded table and garden area. Set on former site of the Elizabeth Fry Retreat, a refuge and training centre for women in need from 1885-1977. Now it caters beautifully for children in need of some exercise and fun.
