Aquamums classes consist of a 45 minute workout which will tone your muscles, mobilise and gently stretch your body and increase your fitness. Specific exercises for the deep abdominals and pelvic floor muscles are emphasised. Aquamums is a fun and comfortable way to keep fit during pregnancy and help your body prepare for childbirth. It's also a great way of returning to exercise after your baby is born enabling your body to recover and strengthen.
Aquamums is an excellent option for women who have back pain or pelvic joint problems - you are able to exercise in a non-jarring environment and the 'core' stablising muscles are strengthened.
All Aquamums instructors are physiotherapists who have a deep understanding of the changes in pregnancy and the special requirements of the pregnant and post-natal woman.
