Alexandra - Lucky Mine Lookout Walk
Lucky Mine Lookout is named after one of the most successful early gold mines which was located just below the top of the hill and overlooks the township of Alexandra and the valley it lies in.
The lookout is located in the Alexandra Bushland Reserve and is especially beautiful during vibrant sunrises and sunsets and offers an excellent star gazing location.
Walk Directions
From the Alexandra Visitor Information Centre in Rotary Park, walk south along Grant Street and then left at Downey Street. Turn right along Webster Street and continue until you reach the gravel road. Continue along the road as it climbs out of Alexandra. Turn left at the top of the hill to reach Lucky Mine Lookout.
The 2.1km walk (one way) is an easy walk with a gradual incline.
