Albury - Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA)
MAMA Collection - the collection contains over 2400 items. Photographs and works on paper are strongly represented, along with smaller collections of paintings, ceramics, bronzes, woodcarvings, sculptural pieces and Indigenous artefacts.
Our contemporary photography collection, which started in the 1960s and has grown to comprise over 600 works, is one of the most important of its type in Australia. It includes work by Tracey Moffatt, Max Dupain, Richard Woldendorp and Phillip Quirk. MAMA's National Photography Prize continues our acquisition of contemporary Australian works.
Exhibitions - We feature the very best of international, national, local and Indigenous artists in addition to our own extensive collection. We've taken the art we like and thrown away the rest. It's colour. It's light. It's sound. It's MAMA.
MAMA programs and events - Be inspired by art and connect with fellow MAMA lovers. We're here to enrich the experience of our exhibitions and our collection by giving you the opportunity to engage with current ideas and debates through the perspectives of artists, curators, professionals and key cultural commentators.
Top Tip - The amazing 24-hour 'art skin' means the exterior of MAMA can show never-before-seen commissioned works in lighting, projection and kinetic art. Stroll through QEII Square after dusk to see this incredible art come alive.
