Albert Park Reserve Dog Off Leash Area - Albert Road (Albert Park)
Albert Park is a multi‐zone park for dogs. Dogs are permitted in most of the park, but must be kept on a lead in some areas and kept out of dog exclusion areas (including the lake and the playgrounds).
The majority of Albert Park is an on-lead area. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the paths and grassed areas surrounding the lake, within picnic areas and within the dog on lead zone.
There are two off lead zones within Albert Park. One of these areas is the northern end of the park near Albert Road). When dogs are in this off-lead zone, a lead must be carried to bring the dog under immediate control if necessary. This area is only an off- lead when not being used for sporting activities or events.
Map of Off-Leash Area
The off-leash area is shown in yellow.
The off-leash area is a grassy strip 600m long and about 30m wide between Cecil Street and Lakeside Drive, north of the Lakeside Stadium. The area is dotted with trees. There is parking for cars on both sides of the off-leash area. There is no water tap or bins in the off-leash area but these facilities are available in the on-leash area. There is ticketed parking in the area.
