Review:
The Play Centre has been upgraded with the addition of a huge inflatable area with airslides and obstacles plus improvements to the toddler area.
The central area has a flock of 32 small round tables which are colourfully patterned. From these tables it is possible to keep a good eye on what is happening across the whole Centre.
The main structure is predominantly based around slides (nine in total) with a big inflatable area in the middle. Across the back end there is a timed Cannon Ball Run, two level tunnel slides, a nice fast three lane wave slide, inflatable area with obstacles to clamber over and climb through, more twisty tunnels, a vertical slide and a nice fun airslide. The main structure has a few obstacles, more slides and disks to stand on and spin around to get horribly dizzy. There are two air hockey tables which are free to use.
There is an area under the main structure for under 6s only which has a cubby, kitchen area and Little Tike cars which you drive using your feet. There are strobe lights in this area.
There is also a fenced toddler area which has a lot of activity possibilities. The area has a jumping pillow, two level play structure, a fun spinning carousel with soft animal seats which is powered by electricity (which means Mum and Dad don't need to push it around all the time), cubby house, a "lake" (which is dry which means that a change of clothes is not required), lots of games and toys scattered about.
The entire play area of the Play Centre is covered in nice soft tiles.
The party areas are all beside each other and separated by half height walls from each other. There are decorated by murals on the back wall with themes such as Frozen, Snow White, Cars and Spiderman. The low walls means that there are possible interactions between birthday groups. Maybe a competition to see who can sing "Happy Birthday" the loudest?
The Play Centre is clean and well maintained and there isn't a ball pit to be seen. In fact there isn't a soft ball to be seen anywhere which is great if you would have to pick up all the balls at the end of the day but not so great if you like lolling around in a pool of balls like a hippo and throwing them about. Considering the general tidiness, the toilets are a bit on the old and grotty side and a baby changing room is available.
Some extra plus points are that there are no extra rides or activities which parents need to pay for, no charge for adults, free water is provided, magazines are provided for parents to read and there is a changing room.
It can be a bit tricky to find the place. Take the drive way which runs along the right hand side of Super Pet Warehouse. The building is towards the back of the complex with a large yellow sign on the front of the building.
